We are committed to building a diverse, multi-disciplinary and collegial laboratory. We are looking for curious Ph.D. candidates and postdoctoral researchers across STEM and engineering backgrounds, who wonder at the marvels of experimental observation, enjoy crafting new tools to investigate neurophysiology and animal behaviour, and are eager to challenge their expertise.
If you are interested in joining the lab, please contact Federico (firstname.lastname@example.org) and include:
- a cover letter describing your work experience, interests and goals;
- your CV;
- the contact details of 2 referees (people you worked with or mentored you).
Get in touch - we will soon start recruiting. Perspective candidates, when eligible, will be encouraged and supported to apply for prestigious funding opportunities: EMBO fellowship, Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship, HFSP fellowship, L'Oreal-UNESCO fellowship, Newton International fellowship
Perspective students typically join the lab through the 4-years (unique in Italy!) doctoral programme in Brain and Congnitive Science at CIMeC (University of Trento), starting in November, with application closing around May.
However, we can also accept students from other Italian and International doctoral schools. Please get in touch to know more about these opportunities. When eligible, candidates will be encouraged and supported to apply for prestigious international studentships: Boehringer-Ingelheim PhD fellowship.
Master students and pre-doctoral internships
We welcome enquiries for Master thesis projects, both from CIMeC and other institutions. We also offer paid pre-doctoral fellowships to perspective PhD students that want to accrue lab experience before applying for a PhD. Get in touch!
