About

I am a Doctoral Candidate within the Doctoral Network Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions INT2ACT (Innovative Nucleic Acids Technologies for Analysis, Detection and Treatment), working in the 3D Chormatin Conformation and RNA Genomics team led by Dr. Dafne Campigli Di Giammartino.

My previous lab research experiences and academic journey at the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France) were built on three complementary axes: the biological functions of epitranscriptomic modifications on both coding and non-coding RNAs, the importance of the secondary structure of non-coding RNAs and the role in cancer of highly dynamic DNA structures which are G-quadruplexes. Altogether, these experiences drove me to pursue in academia and led me to the project supervised by Dr. Dafne Campigli Di Giammartino, where I can apply my knowledge to a new area for me: the 3D structure of chromatin and its link with gene expression profiles. My doctoral project aims to dissect the mechanism by which targeted demethylation of non-coding RNAs could affect global 3D chromatin conformation and thus alter gene expression within the context of glioblastoma stem cells.
